About Claire
Meet your guide for Kindermoves movement and music!
Claire brings an early childhood education degree and many years of experience with infants and children to classes. She began her career as a child care head teacher and continued operating a licensed child care in her home for over 18 years. Claire also spent many years working in special education classrooms.
This background coupled with experience raising three daughters and caring for grandchildren give her what she needs to design a curriculum that supports development through play.
Claire encourages fun and development of early skills through DAP (developmentally appropriate practice).
Infants through preschool children will build skills through play and adults will share the fun!
About Our Classes
Kindermoves program is designed for infant through preschool age children and their caregivers. Caregivers are required to take part in classes. Interacting with props, movement, stories and finger plays happen naturally as children take part. Participation is never forced or expected. A safe enjoyable environment is provided for when children are ready to take part.
What to expect at class:
- Children and their caregivers will be greeted and greet others with an hello song and move to an active song.
- Children will interact with a variety of movement props and musical instruments. Classes keep a seasonal theme with a story in keeping with the theme.
- A balance of active and quiet songs and music flow throughout the class.
- Classes end with a goodbye song.
